I’m Back!

Hello!  I’m sorry I’ve been away from the blog for so long.  We’ve had so much going on, but I am going to try to update more often.  I’m glad to have this mode of communication with you.

So much has happened since the last time I posted in the summer.

• We are successfully into our second year of more fully implementing the Montessori program in our K-5 classrooms, and we’re adding 6^th graders into the mix this year.  We have one Kindergarten of 20 students in a double sized classroom,  two Lower Elementary classrooms, (1^st -3^rd ) and two Upper Elementary classrooms (4^th -6^th).

• We have one middle school classroom of 7^th and 8^th graders together, and are just beginning some exciting changes in there with a look ahead to creating a Montessori adolescent program starting next fall.

• We have new families at the school and some new staff members as well, and have a wonderful team dedicated to making this a school where learning is meaningful and effective and where children grow in social skills as well.
